A RISE IN PRICES OF ELECTRICITY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 22, ARMENPRESS: Everything will be done not to allow
a rise in prices of electricity in Armenia in the upcoming year,
Armenian Minister of Power Engineering and Natural Resources Armen
Movsisyan told Armenpress. He underscored that the president of the
republic has put a similar task too.

It is already obvious that the Russian side on behalf of "Gasprom"
company has increased the gas tariff from $154 fixing it $180.

Calculations are currently being carried out with the commission set
up for regulating RA public services on purpose of estimating what
kind of impact it will have from April 1 of 2010 on the tariffs of
electricity supplied in the republic.

After the implementation of calculations the public will be presented
whether next year a change of tariffs is possible to happen.

"At this moment it is early to make suggestions", the minister said.
