ODIOUS AZERBAIJANI POLITICIAN ABOUT POISONING ELCHIBAY AND EARS OF AKRAM AYLISLI

“Akram Aylisli’s ears cost me 10,000 manats. But the high-ranking
officials in the government did not allow me to carry out my plan,
and cut off his ears,” Hafiz Hajiyev chairman of the Political Council
of the Azerbaijani “Modern Musavat” party reported at a meeting,
the agency “Salamnews” reads.

“I told a group of young people to wait for Akram Aylisli at his door,
and to cut off his ears as soon as he appears in the doorway. These
people stood at the door of Akram Aylisli for several days, but then
the respected people representing the government, told me that to
quit this idea. And I had to give it up. It turns out that I wasted
10,000 manats (about 10,000 euros. – Ed.),” Hajiyev said.

Hajiyev noted that when he asked the young people to return the money,
they said that it is impossible that they were going to carry out
his plan, it was the “Customer” himself that did not allow them to
implement it.

As the Azerbaijani news agency “Trend” reports, Hajiyev also stated
that poisoning of the former Azerbaijani President Abulfaz Elchibey
in Ali Kerimli’s house is fully proven. “110 people have already
been questioned about. In particular, the doctor who treated Abulfaz
Elchibey in Turkey gave a testimony. According to it, it was fully
proved that Abulfaz Elchibey was poisoned at a birthday party that
was held in Ali Kerimli’s house,” Chairman of the” Modern Musavat
Hafiz Hajiyev told reporters on Tuesday.

According to him, Elchibay’s nephew as well presented interesting
testimonies, based on which the police carries out a certain work.

The agency notes that the Prosecutor’s Office of Baku has considered
the appeal of Hafiz Hajiyev, the chairman of the “Modern Musavat”
party over the intentional poisoning of ex-President Abulfaz Elchibey.

A criminal case under article 29, 120.1 (attempt to murder) was filed.

Abulfaz Elchibey was the president of Azerbaijan from 1992 to 1993.

Elchibay died on August 22, in 2000 in a Turkish military hospital
“Gulhane” because of an enduring illness.

Ekrem Eylisli is national writer (since 1998) and Honored Artist
of Azerbaijan, holder of the highest order of Azerbaijan “Istiglal”
(2002) and the order of “Shokhrat” for his outstanding merits in the
literature of Azerbaijan. Recently, on the website of Russian magazine
“Friendship of Nations” was published his novel titled “Stone Dreams”
in which the author describes the massacres of Armenians in Baku
in 1990 and in Nakhichevan in 1919. The author in his novel speaks
positively about the Armenian people and their culture. The novel
“Stone Dreams” also contains criticism over the former Azerbaijani
President Heydar Aliyev and the tyranny of the system created by him.

After publication of the novel, Eylisli was exposed to severe pressures
in Azerbaijan; the pro-governmental youth held rally in front of
his house, his issue was discussed in the parliament of Azerbaijan,
MPs suggested to burn his books and to deprive him of citizenship and
deport from Azerbaijan. Many people “blamed” Eylisli in his Armenian
origin, etc. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev deprived him of
personal pension and the title of National Writer, and accused him of
“purposefully distorting the history of Azerbaijan” and “in distorting
realities about history of Azerbaijan in an inappropriate way.”

The leader of the pro-governmental party “Modern Musavat” Hafis Hajiyev
announced that he would pay about 10 Euros to the one who will cut
the ear of the writer. Only after the intervention of the media,
the politician was “warned” by the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan
about the illegality of such appeals.

The U.S. Department of State and the OSCE Office in Baku condemned
persecution of Eylisli in Azerbaijan and called on the authorities
to fulfill their obligations.

We are convinced that irrespective of the nature of elections, we will
not succeed unless the government system changes, Vahagn Khachatryan,
former Yerevan Mayor, candidate number one in ANC list for municipal
elections, told a news conference in Yerevan.

The opposition candidate said that the failure of ANC is not due to
economic reasons, but rather has a political nature. He added that
election contenders do not face equal conditions because the
authorities use the administrative resource.

“An atmosphere of fear is more perceptible at these elections than at
presidential elections and people are afraid to attend campaign
rallies,” the ANC candidate added.

Hello Armenia, Begin From Yourself, Change Armenia

HELLO ARMENIA, BEGIN FROM YOURSELF, CHANGE ARMENIA

The post-electoral carnival is followed by the next clownery called
election. The title is made of the slogans of the three main
non-governmental forces Heritage, PAP and ARF. RPA and ANCP have
chosen more flat slogans, Better Yerevan and Power to the Citizen
respectively. The RPA means that the election of the Council of Elders
is just a local election, while the ANCP needed to say something that
would remind about its inglorious past.

The other forces hint at a revolutionary process. The Heritage has
sustained the context of Barevolution, the PAP and ARF hint that the
revolution will start in Yerevan. The justification is that Yerevan is
half of Armenia or more, and everything including the destiny of
Armenia is decided here. Everything that starts ends here.

What starts in Yerevan? Usually nothing important. Instead, everything
important in Yerevan is distorted and turned to a stick on the head of
not only the people of Yerevan but also Armenia. Yerevan has
“devoured” all the human and material resources and capacities of
Armenia without offering or proposing any idea that would lead to
development and change of the country.

Instead, the political culture of Yerevan continues its triumphs. It
is an environment where opportunists, political traders, theoreticians
of different calibers and criminals make decisions on the destiny of
the nation. The political culture of Yerevan rules out physical
existence and methodology of different quality, value and thinking.

Therefore, everything that starts in Yerevan ends up in bloodshed and
establishes another triumph of the political culture of Yerevan
leaving all the actors satisfied. Eventually, nothing is changed in
the life of the people of Yerevan and Armenia.

What do they want to begin in Yerevan and what will they change?

Yerevan needs to be saved from the jaws of the political culture and
its humiliating function. This is a hard and endless job that is not
rewarding and profitable, and the political class does not have time
to attend to it. The political culture of Yerevan is fertile soil for
trade and expression of one’s complexes, where one can decline
responsibility and unfold endless demagogy about people and nation.

Will anyone give it up? It allows continuing “policy-making” in cafes
and endless argumentation.

"After April 9, Movement Cannot Be Considered As Led By Someone"

“AFTER APRIL 9, MOVEMENT CANNOT BE CONSIDERED AS LED BY SOMEONE”

Thursday,
April 18

“The February 18 movement – especially after April 9 – cannot be
considered as a movement led by someone. The people are experiencing
a political awakening both in their country and abroad,” the member
of Sardarapat movement Zhirayr Sefilian wrote on his Facebook page.

“There seem to be all the prerequisites for transforming this awakening
into a national liberation movement aimed at toppling the neocolonial
rule and building a sovereign state of new quality in Armenia, thus
initiating a revival of Armenia and the Armenians. So Pre-parliament
is not a force standing next to the movement, but a component of the
movement. Moreover, Pre-parliament is a force having a clear program
of achieving final victory,” Sefilian wrote.

Turk Sings In Turkish On North Avenue … (Video, Photos)

TURK SINGS IN TURKISH ON NORTH AVENUE … (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

2013-04-18 11:09:29

On North Avenue one can often be a witness to an unusual phenomena.

But today it was out of ordinary extraordinary. One guy with the
inscription ”Turkey” on his shirt was sitting in the crowded place
of the Avenue, took a guitar and began to play softly Turkish music
at the same time singing in Turkish. In this place, of course, it is
common to raise money by singing, but what wanted the guy to show with
the appearance of his Turkish music, was more than strange. I stared in
surprise when I noticed that Robert Amirkhanian was also watching with
astonishment all this. Interestingly, how the composer perceived this.

-Mr, Amirkhanian, how do you assess this phenomenon? We stand out
for our tolerance, but how is this tolerance justified, when the Turk
in the shirt with the inscription ”Turkey”, plays Turkish music in
the heart of the capital of Armenia?

-I just came out here and did not have time to see his face, I was
attracted to his voice and I felt something alien to him. I saw it
as a bit of a protest.

-Well, you are professional.

-Well, you know, I wanted to understand the intonations of “Maria
Maria”, if this is in Turkish … But he should not dare to do such
thing like that here, if they knew, he would be stoned.

-Who will throw stones, they or we?

-Can you imagine if anyone will sit in the square of Turkey and sing?

-Yes, and he looks as if a protestor.

-One must have great courage to be called a Turk in Armenia and,
secondly, to get out publicly and sing. I do not think he is related
to Turks, except what is written on the shirt.

– ”Turkey” – Turkey.

– ”Turkey” also means turkey(bird), he can mean that.

-Well, let’s hope that he sits like a turkey.

-Armenians have interesting nature. We are very patient, no matter who,
if he does something good, we can take it.

-Well, does this mean that we are patient?

-Good or bad, it is inherent in us.

-On the other hand, maybe we should not be surprised or complain,
because our singers sing so much in Turkish, they have decided to
come and present their original music?

-Well, that’s another topic. But I do not think that Turk will be
able to play this kind of music.

-That’s good, or at least ..?

-Zero, this is zero. This is a secondary phenomenon, as he repeats
someone, but for me it is valuable only that the person is doing on
his behalf. He may be a Persian, Persian Azer.

-Let me go and ask.

-Yes, ask “what he thinks of Turkey, what means his T-shirt with
this inscription.”

As soon as I came up, the guy immediately changed his repertoire.
