Sochi 2014: Azerbaijan pledges half a million dollars for gold medal

Azerbaijan will have five representatives–who are not Azerbaijanis–at
the 2014 Winter Olympics to be held in Sochi, Russia.
The representatives of Azerbaijan will be awarded $510,000, $255,000
and $130,000 should they win a gold, a silver, or a bronze medal,
respectively, in Sochi, Haqqin.az reports.
The 22nd Winter Olympics will be held from February 6 to 23. NEWS.am
Sport has been accredited by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)
to cover the event directly from Sochi.
