The "Heritage" is the only opposition force that has accepted the
proposal to meet the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe, Mevlut Cavusoglu. "The proposal was accepted,
since we do not want to look a weak party," Secretary of the Heritage
faction Larisa Alaverdyan told a press conference today.

"If you avoid a meeting, then you are a weak party," Larisa Alaverdyan
said.

She informed that during the meeting they would express their
dissatisfaction over the proposal to create a PACE subcommittee on
Nagorno Karabakh. She says there can be no formats of settlement
other than the OSCE Minsk Group.

Turkologist Artak Shakaryan adheres to the opposite opinion. "Other
formats can be proposed. The Karabakh issue may even be discussed
within the framework of the Caucasus Stability Platform proposed by
Turkey and approved by Russia and Armenia," he said.

Touching upon the Russian-Turkish relations, Artak Shakaryan said those
are mostly of economic nature. "No matter how close the relations
between Russia and Turkey are, Russia always realizes that Armenia
is its main partner in the South Caucasus," he said.
