"We must continue our relations with both the West and Russia, not
underestimating our importance for Russia.

In my view one of our mistakes is that we always overestimate Russia’s
role for Armenia and we underestimate Armenia’s role for Russia.

Russia is trying to realize an economic expansion towards the Middle
East; Russian business intends to move towards South and Arabian
world via Armenia. And we must be able to use this factor to advance
our interests in this region," political scientist Ara Papyan believes.
