PRESIDENTIAL AWARDS TO BEST ATHLETIC COMMUNITIES AND YARDS

January 11 the ceremony of handing over the Presidential Awards to
the best athletic communities and yards was held at RA Ministry of
Sport and Youth Affairs.
The city of Vedi in Ararat marz (Mayor Varuzhan Barseghyan) was named
the best athletic community. The second best community was the city
of Kajaran in Syunik marz (Mayor Vardan Gevorgyan). The third was
Avan community of Yerevan (Head of community Taron Margaryan).
Parakar village in Armavir marz (Head of community Samvel Vardanyan)
was named the best rural athletic community. It was followed by
Gugark village in Lori marz (Head of community Ashot Ashughyan)
and Garni village in Kotayk marz (Head of community Ashot Vardanyan).
"The best athletic yard" award was given to "Anushik" yard in Gyumri
(Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan). The second was the yard of Hatsarat community
in Gavar city (Mayor Gurgen Martirosyan). The third was the "Red Cross"
yard of Taron-4 district in Vanadzor (Mayor Samvel Darbinyan).
The prizes were handed by RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs
Armen Grigoryan.
