Young Syrian-Armenian volunteers gather at community center

GLENDALE-Amid the conflict and civil strife that continues to
plague Syria and its residents, the Armenian Relief Society (ARS)
of Western USA calls upon community members from near and far to
join its efforts in support and camaraderie of Armenians in Syria,
who are painstakingly affected by the ongoing turmoil in the country.

At this crucial time, the ARS Western Region has committed to a full
force humanitarian response effort to raise funds in aid of Armenians
in Syria. Support in this effort knows no bounds and a donation in
any amount to the “Fund for Assistance to Syrian Armenian Schools”
will undeniably demonstrate a united undertaking to fulfill our moral
duty in coming to the aid of fellow Armenians in distress.

Support the Armenian community in Syria by donating by credit card
or PayPal at , through a local chapter,
or sending your check to ARS of Western USA, Regional Executive, 517 W.

Glenoaks Blvd., Glendale, CA 91202. The Regional Headquarters can be
contacted at (818) 500-1343 for any additional information.

The ARS of Western USA is confident that communities will immediately
respond to our call to action.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
