RA PRESIDENT ATTENDS OPENING OF APARAN MEDICAL CENTER

Within the framework of the visit to the Armenian province of
Aragatsotn President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended today the
opening ceremony of the Aparan medical center. The President toured
in the center and familiarized himself with the conditions. The
center has been renovated within the framework of the World Bank’s
“Upgrading of Health System” loan program.
Speaking to reporters, Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan said
within the framework of the program the hospital has been equipped
with contemporary medical devices, new furniture has been acquired.
“The opening of the center corresponds to the RA President’s program
on equal development of provinces,” the minister said, adding that
last year five big medical centers opened in the provinces of Armenia.
The minister noted that the upgrading programs of the medical center
will continue.
Currently 38 doctors are working at the Aparan medical center and 76
average medical employees.
