AZERBAIJANI FM DISCUSSES NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT IN NEW YORK

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is participating
the 66th UN General Assembly session and has held several bilateral
meetings.

The meetings were held with the President of the Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus Dervis Eroglu, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan, Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi, British Minister of
State Lord David Howell, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolai Mladenov,
EU special representative for the South Caucasus Philippe Lefort
and Secretary General of the League of Arab States Nabil El-Arabi,
the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Besides the bilateral relations, the Armenian-Azerbaijani
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and economic and energy spheres were also
discussed.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation prospects in several spheres
of mutual interest.

Mammadyarov also attended a meeting of foreign ministers from the
organization Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
