Mediamax, Armenia
Sept 9 2011

The representatives of Intel presented their offers within “A Computer
for Each Pupil” program to Armenian Minister of Education and Science
Armen Ashotyan today.

Armen Ashotyan said that the growth of computerization is a priority
issue in the light of educational reforms. Today, one computer goes
to 22 pupils in Armenia which is close to the average European index.

“However, we are interested in improving this index. We are especially
interested in computers with software in the Armenian language”,
the Minister noted.

The parties discussed the possibilities of Intel’s participation in
the process of computerization of Armenia’s general educational sphere.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
