President hosts and congratulates journalists

Today, Armenia’s President Serge Sargsyan hosted more than two hundred
media representatives for a New Year party.

`In a few days we are saying good buy to 2009 which was full of
developments and memorable and notable events. It’s not a secret that
you influence the society through words and position that you voice.
So, you write Armenia’s chronicles. And I wish these chronicles to be
true and impartial.

`I wish you all a very happy New Year and Christmas, and I wish you
all good wishes for 2010. I wish you a world of cheer and joyous news.
I wish you to expand your audience by only good news on science and
sport victories and other happy developments.

`I take this opportunity to thank all journalists who covered
government’s activities in the outgoing year. I believe, we
contributed to the progress and development of our state and nation
through covering various and oppositional opinions. And the upcoming
year will make good on this,’ said President Sargsyan.
