ARMENIAN EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION (AEF) TO HONOR VARTKES YEGHIAYAN WITH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

GLENDALE, SEPTEMBER 9, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian
Educational Foundation will honor Vartkes Yeghiayan for his outstanding
accomplishments by bestowing upon him the AEF 2008 Lifetime Achievement
Award, at a September 28 at the Sheraton University Hotel. The son of
a survivor of the Armenian Genocide, Yeghiayan has taken upon himself
to dig into the depths of these dark and painful pages of Armenian
history. His publications, mostly dealing with various aspects of the
Armenian Genocide, are "soldiers," as Dr. Rubina Peroomian, a previous
recipient of this award put it, "fighting for the world recognition of
the Armenian Genocide and against the denial of this historical fact."
