A totalitarian (totalitarian) state does not exist without ideology, “ism”. That ideology (realist, utopian, ecclesiastical, etc.) should be at the basis of the government’s activity. Without “ism”, the totalitarian state becomes the worst variant of leviathan, turning into a predatory system, and power becomes an end in itself, or the only end.
One of the main preconditions for the operation of a totalitarian state is that the majority of society believes in the official ideology or that majority is forced to believe in it. An important precondition is also the presence of the public legitimacy of the power aspiring to totality.
Citizen Nikol Pashinyan (NP) is forming a totalitarian state and government without “ism”.
He has a form of totalitarianism (repression, criminalization of dissent, redistribution of property, destruction of freedom of speech, etc.). The content is zero.
NP presents Trip, apricot jam jars and Turkish “bath” painted by a European female bureaucrat-“dental technician” as an ideology, but it is not an ideology. It is not even cheap populism. It is a common deception.
The real “ideology” professed by the NP is to keep the power. At any cost.
In the current situation, his only hope to keep the power is external supports, because he was deprived of his legitimacy in Armenia for the first time after 2018. This is a qualitatively new thing, the deep perception of which even NP does not yet have, but will soon feel.
These NA elections were falsified in the Moldovan version, subject to certain local modifications, of course. It was completely controlled from outside.
Now they are keeping NP from outside, expecting big concessions in return.
NP has no other option. For the sake of power and fake totalitarianism, he should surrender. Always give up. Just hand over.
He handed over Artsakh, the territories of Armenia and will hand it over again. In addition, they demand that he hand over the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, our compatriots suffering in Baku prison, the welfare of RA citizens, the security of our country, the Church, the economy, Armenian-Russian relations, the nuclear power plant, the mines, the railway. After all, our independence and Armenia.
The only way to fight against the totalitarianism of the Nationalist Party is to form a complete alternative. Both the form and the content are important here.
Populism is not fought with populism.
The alternative to a liar is truth and sincerity.
The source of power is the people. these are not just words.
The alternative to political immorality is moral political proposal and behavior.
The word must have value.
Cowardice and indifference are terrible sins.
I mentioned several principles that will be important in the fight against totalitarianism.
I will summarize: A serious crisis of the legitimacy of the government has arisen in Armenia. Parliament will operate in a vacuum of legitimacy, and in all aspects.
How and when that vacuum will be filled depends on all of us and especially on the political forces.
One thing is clear: the totalitarianism of the Nationalist Party will explode on its head. The important thing is that after that explosion, Armenia does not remain under its ruins.
