Armenia’s economic activity increased by 8%, and consumer prices by 4.5%

According to preliminary data, consumer prices in Armenia in January-May 2026 increased by 4.5% compared to January-May 2025, the Statistical Committee reports.


Moreover, in May of the current year, compared to May of last year, the increase was 4.2%, and compared to April of the same year, a decrease of 0.8% was recorded.


The prices of industrial products increased by 8.9% in the five months of 2026, compared to the same period last year. In May, on an annual basis, the increase was 9%, and compared to April, the prices increased by 1.6%.


According to preliminary data, Armenia’s economic activity index increased by 8% in January-May 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.
