Peskov: “Armenia’s leadership stands at a crossroad”
Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said today that “Yerevan is currently in the process of choosing its path of development.”
“We see that Armenia’s leadership currently stands at a crossroad. Armenia’s leadership speaks of an upcoming choice regarding its path of development. This is important to us because, for many centuries, Russia and Armenia have been neighboring countries, brotherly countries,” said the Kremlin spokesperson.
“We are closely intertwined; there are many Armenians living in our country, and Russians live in Armenia. We are united by a very positive integration process. We are convinced that this integration process – namely, the EAEU – contributes a significant percentage to Armenia’s GDP growth each year,” Peskov noted.
He emphasized that Moscow is interested in further cooperation with Yerevan:
“We have many common things to do. We are a major investor in Armenia. Therefore, our relations will continue to develop.”
