In the “Pressing” program Satik Seyranyan the guest is the chairman of the “Democratic Alternative” party, political scientist Suren Surenyants is.
The main theses of the interview are below.
- In all countries, the Minister of Economy is happy when a job opens. Yesterday, the Minister of Economy of Armenia was proud that “Shangri La” owned by Gagik Tsarukyan was closed. That’s 500 jobs, by the way. So many jobs will be cut. This government only talks about arresting, imprisoning, choking. In Armenia there is an Institute of Danoschiks, the founder of which was Daniel Ioannisyan in 1937. in the best traditions ensures the retaliation of the state system. This morning it happened with Avetik Chalabyan. In this country, according to this government, the opposition can speak and sometimes criticize, but it cannot think about coming to power. But any machine, including a repressive machine, wears out.
- Opposition leaders must create political systems. People are tired and stressed, and it is obvious that there is not going to be a revolutionary solution to the situation. The opposition should create political systems so that nothing depends on one hand, abduction and persecution. If they don’t, there will be far more severe consequences. If the blitzkrieg plan fails, there is no need to resort to adventurism or marginalization, as was the case with the Georgian opposition.:
- All of our families are psychologically prepared, waiting for the specter of being arrested.
- Since we are dealing with the power of bums, they have never created value, they take away what someone else has created very easily. The properties of Gagik Tsarukyan and others are easily confiscated because of this:
- The Armenian people did not fall for the fact that Nikol Pashinyan read Stepan Zoryan and “Pope King”… If a person with a provincial mindset read other things, he might know other names. And by this I do not at all belittle the merits of King Pope. Naming a street should not be on the feet. Especially, who are the decision-makers, the bandits who organized a fight at the session of the Yerevan Council of Elders? It was the first time I saw something like this. It was a demonstrative thing, written by Nikol Pashinyan. They were showing the newly formed opposition what will happen in the National Assembly, and it will surely happen that way. The mayor doesn’t have enough authority that he can’t bridle? This indicates that all state representative bodies will work in this mode from now on:
- The West knows best that Nikol Pashinyan has no legitimacy, and this hysteria of Nikol Pashinyan is also due to external factors. The man openly says that the Hajiyev-Grigoryan meeting became possible because Azerbaijan questioned his ability to govern. Aliyev calls 600,000 voters “revanchist” with Pashinyan’s light touch. This is because Pashinyan had sealed the three opposition forces under the name of “three-headed party of war”.
- To Nikol Pashinyan, the West says that we have enough documents against you, and they gave carte blanche, saying: go, do whatever you want, become an authoritarian, but our demands must be fulfilled.
- Willingly or unwillingly, the PAP became the indicator by which the illegitimacy of Nikol Pashinyan was revealed, because the most secular fraud is connected with the PAP itself. Simple math suggests that filtering PAP out of Parliament renders the entire process illegitimate. PAP became the litmus test that revealed all the ugliness of Nikol Pashinyan. Nikol Pashinyan does not forgive PAP and Gagik Tsarukyan for this. This repressive wave will not stop as long as he is in power. For that, I repeat, political systems are needed, because the lightning revolution scenario will not work:
- Pashinyan wants to push the opposition to uncalculated actions in order to restore its legitimacy on the street. In addition, he thereby creates the basis for a new wave of repression. The opposition will take to the streets, but it will take to the streets when it is necessary, not at the will of Nikol Pashinyan.
- Pashinyan will at least physically imprison Gagik Tsarukyan and Samvel Karapetyan, he will not stop the campaign against the “Armenia” bloc and Robert Kocharian. The opposition should form the 1988 A council like “Karabakh Committee-2” so that the arrests of the leaders do not affect the processes:
- Figures like us should not find their comfort under the shadow of Gagik Tsarukyan and Samvel Karapetyan, to say that everything depends on the leaders. We also have to take our actions. If we had won, thousands of people would have run after the laurels, right? Life goes on, you have to get out of depression and speak to society.
- The question of taking the mandates is not a legal question, but a political one. If the opposition has a lightning revolution scenario, of course, then it should not take the mandates. This was the case during Saakashvili’s time in 2004, but there is also another example in Georgia, when the opposition made a mistake, did not take the mandates and became a marginal force in the results of the last elections. Mandates should be taken so as not to put yourself on the sidelines without having an alternative political project.
- Boycott only works if you have a ready plan for revolution. All 3 of our opposition leaders are not revolutionary by nature:
- There has been usurpation of power. Vahagn Hovakimyan, other members of the CEC became a tool in the hands of Nikol Pashinyan, through which he usurped the power with the features of a coup d’état. If Nikol Pashinyan declares himself the winner at 2 o’clock in the morning, he is not doing it on a good day. With a cheerful face and a psalm, he tried first to consolidate his frightened team, and then to instruct the CEC on the counting of votes. The government did not win, that’s why Nikol Pashinyan is in such a nervous state:
- Daniel Ioannisyan has a problem to strengthen his positions in the government. that’s what these escalations are for.
- Nikol Pashinyan will not go to the new elections now. He will go to new elections a year later, when he can lead the opposition. Going to the elections now is risky. Parliament was formed for the first time, the first session of which has not yet taken place, it is stillborn. Nikol Pashinyan does not understand that he is delegitimizing his power, because the opposition in the Parliament cannot be illegal, and the government is legal. He himself becomes a tool to be used to compromise:
- The current Constitutional Court is the only CC in history, all of whose members were appointed during the years of power of Nikol Pashinyan, and they are as backpackers as the members of the CEC. Seda Safaryan should be removed from the process because he was number 3 on the list of Arman Babajanyan’s “For the Republic” party in 2021. during the elections, and that party today disputes the results of the elections in the Supreme Court, and, besides, Seda Safaryan’s brother is one of the mouthpieces of this government.
- “Smatryashchi” in Armenia is Baku and Hajiyev himself. they did not like the results of the elections, “smatryashchi” came to see what is happening. Pashinyan licks the shoes of Aliyev and his nazirs-viziers and proudly presents it as sovereignty. Well, they should have come from there first, if you are an Azerbaijani protectorate.
- Those who voted for Pashinyan, understanding or not, voted for the Armenian-Russian economic war, which will have much more serious consequences for Armenia. They voted for Nikol Pashinyan’s adventure of the century. They will leave us out of the EAEU. These are the first elections that were de jure not even recognized by Russia.
- Let us not be excited that TRIPP may be canceled for some reason. In Turkey, they say that even if it comes out of our hands, do not hope that you will fall under our demands.
- Nikol Pashinyan shot himself in the leg on June 7. Now he has completely become a foreign mechanism against this country. It is a weak, illegitimate government, a tool of expansion used against our country:
