Verelq: The former director of the Genocide Museum has made a final decision

“Hraparak” newspaper writes:

“On March 18, we wrote that Edita Gzoyan, director of the “Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute” foundation, took a leave after the scandalous removal from the position of director, which will last quite a long time, as she has several years of accumulated leave. According to our information, he was offered to stay as a researcher and work at the museum after returning from vacation.

However, we learned that during his 1-month vacation, Gzoyan changed his decision: after the vacation, he intends to write an application for dismissal from the post of researcher. During this time, Gzoyan goes to the museum from time to time to complete unfinished works. During the visits, he does not meet or communicate with the director JP Hrachya Tashchyan.

In a conversation with “Hraparak”, researcher of the institute, former director Suren Manukyan, referring to the news about Gzoyan’s decision to leave HCTI, said: “He did not share that decision with me, he said that May will come, I will come, we will see, but if you have that information, then there is something, I don’t know. Now he comes sometimes on some business, he also has girlfriends here, maybe he communicates with them more. I communicate with him mainly at the American University, where we both teach.”

Let’s remind that Edita Gzoyan accompanied US Vice President Jay D. Vance during his visit to Armenia, talked about the Artsakh issue and gave him a book, after which Pashinyan ordered to fire her. We also wrote that the acting director is not in control of the situation, does not communicate with the team, but has already reduced some programs, limited pre-planned business trips. And after the news about the visit of the Catholicos of All Armenians to Tsitsernakaberd on April 24 was published on the website of the museum-institute, he ordered to remove it from the website, as a result of which two employees were fired.”
