The Vardanyan family donated $300,000 to Stepanakert Cathedral construction

There is only one functioning church in Stepanakert. In 2006 the
construction of Our Lady of the Holy Hovhan Cathedral started in the
capital city of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).
Head of the Artsakh Diocese says, “Due to limited funds the
construction of the Cathedral was initially being done quite slowly.
Businessman Hrant Vardanyan supported the continuation of the
Cathedral construction, granting $150,000 ”
His sons continued the work of the senior Vardanyan. They have agreed
to cover the expenses of the church construction and granted
additional $150,000. Head of the Artsakh Diocese says that the
Cathedral consecration is planned for 2016 fall.
