Armenia’s Apostolic Church offers Candle Light Devine Liturgy on March 30

YEREVAN, MARCH 30, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Apostolic Church on March 30
and 31 offers Candle Light and Easter Divine Liturgy. As reports
Armenpress, in the evening March 30 Candle Light Devine Liturgy is
offered after which Good News of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Lord
Jesus Crist is announced. `Christ has risen from the dead blessed is
the Christ’s Resurrection’. Thus the great lent is over. On Holy
Saturday the destruction of hell and liberation of the righteous’
souls is celebrated.
The Feast of Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ also called Easter
is celebrated on March 31. In both Old and New Testaments Easter is
considered to be one of the 5 major feasts.
Believers are dying eggs in red for the Easter. Egg is considered to
be the symbol of resurrection and new life. Red color symbolizes the
blood of Jesus shed for the salvation of mankind.
