Gyumri residents say that on hearing that their power is overthrown,
former Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s son, famous Spartak, engraved
on the wall of Mayor’s Office building together with his friends at
night that the Ghukasyans built it, while it is clear that it was
built with state resources.
“Many know that private and state properties are not differentiated
in this family. It is rumored that Vardan Ghukasyan wanted to have a
valuable chandelier hanging in the church he built. And out of this
“honest” motive he moved one of the antique chandeliers kept in
Aslamazyan Sisters House-Museum to his church,” Hraparak writes.
