HRAIR TOVMASYAN ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF CIS COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF JUSTICE

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS: Next 8th session of the Council of
Ministers of Justice of CIS member countries will host in Armenian
Republic and Armenian Minister of Justice Hrair Tovmasyan has been
elected as the Chairman of CIS Council of Justice Ministers. As
Armenpress was informed from the Ministry of Justice this was decided
in Minsk on September 19-22, during the 7th session of CIS member
countries’ Ministers of Justice.

Different issues and projects concerning this sphere have been
discussed during the session.

The importance of the Council’s activity has been also discussed.

A bilateral meeting of the Justice Ministers of Armenia and Belarus
took place in the framework of the 7th session during which Ministers
also discussed issues related to the changes being implemented in
their countries. Armenian Minister of Justice presented the reforms
carried out in his office.

Ministers of two countries signed an agreement on “Cooperation in the
sphere of judicial expertise between Armenian Republic and Belarus
Republic”.

Armenian Minister of Justice Hrair Tovmasyan, the Deputy Minister
Aram Orbelyan as well as the Ministers of Justice of Belarus, Russian
Federation and Tajikistan participated in the 7th session of the
Council of Ministers of Justice of CIS member countries.
