PARIS. – During the event held at the Jewish Holocaust Memorial in
Paris, tributes were paid to the memories of those Armenians whom the
Yad Vashem Institute had declared righteous, Nouvelles d’Arménie
informs.

Yervante and Elbis Beurkdjian were posthumously awarded the Medal of
Righteousness for saving the lives of the Jewish Goldhamer family
during the Holocaust. Their son, Alfred-François Beurkdjian, who
likewise is mentioned in the book of France’s righteous people, was on
hand at the event.

Tributes were paid to those 25 Armenians who, having risked their
lives, had saved Jewish families during the Holocaust.

The names of all these righteous people are written on Jerusalem’s Yad
Vashem Wall of Honor.
