Azeri defense minister to visit Iran

Tehran, March 11, IRNA – Azeri Defense Minister Safar Abiyev is to pay
an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday.

According to the Public Relations Department of Iran’s defense
ministry, the Azeri defense minister will visit Iran upon official
invitation extended to him by his Iranian counterpart Brigadier
General Ahmad Vahidi.

During their stay in Iran, the Azeri defense minister and his
entourage will confer with the Iranian defense minister and other top
officials on issues of mutual interest.

The two sides will also discuss regional and international
developments along with defense cooperation between the two countries.
