JOHN HEFFERN: “THE US ADMINISTRATION ATTACHES IMPORTANCE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATION WITH ARMENIA”

On October 17 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan received the newly
appointed Ambassador of the USA to Armenia John Heffern.
Congratulating the U.S Ambassador Foreign Minister Nalbandyan wished
him success expressing hope that the Ambassador will contribute to
the development and deepening of US-Armenian relations.
Ambassador Heffern noted that the US Administration attaches importance
to the development of cooperation with Armenia and ensured that he
would do his best to strengthen mutual relations.
The diplomats shared viewpoints related to the regional issues. In
this context the Foreign Minister highly praised U.S involevement as
a co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group in the peaceful regulation process of
Artsakh issue.
