US official meets with Armenian, Azeri FMs in New York

US Deputy Secretary of State Bill Burns has with Armenian and
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the UN General
Assembly’s 66th session in New York.
According to the Azerbaijani news agency APA, the meeting with Azeri
FM Elmar Mammadyarov took place in the UN Headquarters on Friday.
The parties focused on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The meeting with
FM Edward Nalbandyan was held later.
The United States called upon the two countries to choose peaceful
methods for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Both
foreign ministers reiterated their commitment to achieve a negotiated
settlement of the conflict.
