YEREVAN. – Along the lines of Wednesday’s events marking 2,793rd
anniversary of the foundation of Armenia’s capital Yerevan, a
windsurfing show is currently underway in “Swan Lake,” located nearby
downtown Yerevan’s Liberty Square, Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter
informed from the scene.

The show’s main heroes are children ranging between the ages of 10
and 15. Many Yerevan residents are gathered there and are watching
the spectacle, but they are also warning their children not to get
too excited and, as a result, fall in the water.

Such show is held there for the first time.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
