Members of UK Conservative Party’s Britain-Azerbaijan Friendship Group
visit Azerbaijan

Baku – APA. The European Azerbaijan Society has organized the next
visit of members of Conservative Party’s Britain-Azerbaijan Friendship
Group to Azerbaijan.

According to EAS, the group was represented by the delegation
consisting of Christopher Pincher, Viscount Eccles, Baroness Eccles,
Stephen Mosley and Graham Brady. The visit will last until 27 July.
The delegation is planned to meet with representatives of legislative
and executive powers of Azerbaijan, as well Chairman of Milli Majlis
Ogtay Asadov, FM Elmar Mammadyarov, chief of the foreign relations
department at the presidential administration of Azerbaijan Novruz
Mammadov, SOCAR vice-president Elshad Nasirov and other officials,
within the visit.
Discussions on UK-Azerbaijan relations, delivery of realities on
Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict to British society and
political circles will be held during the meeting.

The delegation will visit Azerbaijan’s historical places, including
Shaki city, meet with IDPs there.
Note that, the Britain-Azerbaijan Friendship Group of UK Conservative
Party was officially established by the initiative of EAS at the
party’s conference in 2010. The group aimed to develop the bilateral
relations between Azerbaijan and UK, extend the political, economic,
social and cultural relations.
