REPUBLICANS NOMINATE KAREN KARAPETYAN FOR MAYOR

Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has nominated Hayrusgazard Director
Karen Karapetyan for Yerevan mayor.
The decision was made at the Thursday meeting of the party’s board,
chaired by President Serzh Sargsyan, RPA spokesman Edward Sharmazanov
told Tert.am.
Lawyer Hrayr Tovmasyan’s candidacy was proposed for justice minister.
The session also decided to dismiss Nerses Yeritsyan from the post of
minister of economy and nominate Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan for
that position. The board also proposed Deputy Central Bank Chairman
Vache Gabrielyan’s candidacy for finance minister.
When asked to comment on this cabinet reshuffling, Sharmazanov said
it is aimed at raising its effectiveness.
