Spanish world famous tenor Placido Domingo is happy to be in Armenia,
he told the journalists today. Tomorrow he will give a concert in
Yerevan together with Portuguese opera singer Ana Maria Martinez,
Barsegh Tumanyan and soprano Rosi Svazyan.
~SI planned to visit Armenia long ago but all my attempts failed. It
is great honor for me and for my team,~T he said.
Domingo said he got acquainted with Armenians in Paris when his mother
took music lessons and her teacher was madam Babayan, adding that he
has many Armenian friends Charles Aznavour, Levon Sahyan and others.
He noted that cannot tour Yerevan due to lack of time. ~SI came for
a short visit and I will hardly manage to see anything. Next time I
will come as a tourist, as I want to turn off brain and enjoy this
beautiful country, it is really worth it,~T Domingo said.
