PARUYR HAYRIKYAN: TURKEY HAS ACTUALLY DECLARED WAR TO ARMENIA

"Turkey’s stance on the Artsakh issue makes us reconsider our position
not only on the Armenian-Turkish relations, but also Armenia’s
strategy, in general," President of the National Self-Determination
Union Paruyr Hayrikyan told a press conference today.
He considers that Turkey should be internationally recognized as
a conflicting party. Then we’ll speak about the settlement of the
Armenian-Turkish conflict rather than normalization of Armenian-Turkish
relations, he said.
"Turkey has actually declared war to Armenia. Holding the border
closed in peacetime is equal to declaring war. When Turkey and Armenia
become conflicting parties, the international law will be on our side,
because although Turks deny having perpetrated genocide, they accept
the mass displacement of Armenians. Therefore, Armenians should have
the right to return to the places they had been displaced from like
Tatars return to Crimea today," Paruyr Hayrikyan said.
