The newly elected president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe, Mevlut Cavusoglu, in an exclusive APA news agency
interview, said that he would like not only to meet with Armenian and
Azerbaijani representatives to PACE, but also to visit both countries.

"As we are choosing the dialogue, we think the restoration of
constructive dialogue between the two countries is necessary,"
said the PACE president. "We will further continue working in this
direction. Since I will have a tough week, full of different meetings
concerning the session, I cannot exactly tell you whether I’ll have
a chance to meet them," he continued.

Cavusoglu affirmed the press, however, that he would very much like to
meet with both delegations. "If I will fail to meet head of delegation
of the two countries this week, then I will meet them in the next.

It’s worth noting that we saw such meetings in the past too… we
will have joint, as well as separate, meetings in the future."

Asked when will he visit Azerbaijan, Cavusoglu said that’s dependent
on when he receives an invitation from Azerbaijan. He expressed
his readiness to visit the country, saying "I would like to visit
Azerbaijan as a President of PACE."
