ARMENIA’S PRESIDENT SAYS YSU GLORY OF OUR PEOPLE

Yerevan State University council session took place today. Armenia’s
President Serzh Sargsyan made opening speech stating that with the
end of 2009 the traditions are preserved aiming to conclude the
achievements, successes and shortcomings of the passing year. Before
starting the session, President asked to pay tribute to two members
of YSU council Professor and Academician Aida Avetisyan and Chief
of Head of Police Gevorg Mheryan. S. Sargsyan mentioned that the
passing year was jubilee for the university as 90th anniversary was
marked. "I say our university cause the university is the glory of
our nation. It’s significant figure in our education and science. More
than 100 thousand graduates experienced the university years."
