YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. Nothing will end with the signing of
Armenia-Turkey protocols, which is scheduled to take place in Zurich
on October 10, because the ratification process of these protocols
will start after that. Head of the ARF Bureau Hay Dat and Political
Affairs Office Kiro Manoyan expressed this opinion at the October
9 press conference. He pointed out that it is evident from the fact
that the representatives of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Countries
will attend the sigining ceremony that this process is related to
the Nagorno Karabakh problem.

In his words, the ARF will struggle to the bitter end in order to
reduce the harms of the protocols to a minimum. "Opportunities still
exist, and work must be done in this direction," he said.

In the opinion of K. Manoyan, everything must be done to prevent
a split between Armenia and the Diaspora, since this is one of
Turkey’s goals.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
