President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan held a closed meeting with the
leaders of political parties as part of six-week domestic political
consultations envisaged by the protocols initiated between Armenia
and Turkey, APA reported.

Leaders of 52 political parties of the 64 invited to the consultations
attended the meeting, Panarmenian.net reported.

In his opening speech, Sargsyan said that he learned both positive
and negative opinions and was aware of concerns among the society.

"I am also concerned with the protocols and see its risk. We have
to discuss and to understand what we put under the risk and what
advantage we will take. We have many political, economic and historic
problems with Turkey, and we need to solve them. I think we took the
way of solution of the problems. If we want to normalize relations
with Turkey indeed, we have to make joint efforts toward that".

Sargsyan said there was no political force in the country to be
against the normalization of relations with Turkey. MILAZ

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
