Export Of Apricot This Year Twice Exceeds The Last Year’s

EXPORT OF APRICOT THIS YEAR TWICE EXCEEDS THE LAST YEAR’S

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: As of today, 13,312 tons of apricot
(572 tons via plane), 34 tons of peach, 289 tons of plum and 629
tons of cherry have been exported from Armenia. In the same period
of the past year the picture is the following: 7517 tons of apricot,
527 tons of peach, 402 tons of plum and 230 tons of cherry.

An official from the Armenian Agriculture Ministry told Armenpress that
the majority of the fruits (8222 tons) have been exported and sold in
Russia, more than 4000 tons in Georgia, 1036 tons in Ukraine, 54,2 tons
in Belarus. About 200 tons of apricot have been exported to Belgium.
