FOREIGN MINISTER OF ARMENIA EDWARD NALBANDIAN RECEIVES THE CO-RAPPORTEURS OF PACE MONITORING COMMITTEE

On June 16, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with
John Prescott and Georges Clombier, PACE Monitoring Committee
co-rapporteurs.

In his welcoming remarks Minister Nalbandian expressed satisfaction
for the Armenian cooperation with the PACE Monitoring Committee and
other institutions of the Council of Europe and stressed that Armenia
is determined to continue democratic reforms in accordance with the
obligations to the Council of Europe.

Touching upon the implementation of the PACE resolutions on Armenia,
John Prescott and Georges Clombier mentioned the progress achieved
during on the way of reforms, and welcomed the initiative of the
Armenian President to declare an amnesty.

In the course of the meeting regional issuer were also discussed.
