CERTIFICATION OF DANGEROUS WASTE PRODUCTS DONE IN ARMENIA IN 2008

YEREVAN, JANUARY 8, NOYAN TAPAN. Certification of dangerous waste
products was done in Armenia in 2008 with the aim of ensuring an
environmentally friendly management of waste products. According to
information of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection, the National
Review of Management of Chemical Substances and Waste Products was
revised and submitted as a draft protocol decision to the Armenian
government for discussion.

A draft decision on establishment of the order of using construction
and demolition waste was also submitted to the government.

The Guide of the Specific Indices of Formation of the Main Types
of Production and Consumption Waste, as well as the List of the
Proposed Technologies for the Neutralization and Use of Production and
Consumption Waste of Various Origin were developed under the 2008-2010
medium-term expenditure program "Establishment of Conditions Ensuring
Environmentally Friendly Management of Dangerous Waste Products"
with resources of the 2008 state budget.
