Working Visit Of Armenian President To New York Continues

WORKING VISIT OF ARMENIAN PRESIDENT TO NEW YORK CONTINUES

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan,
after his speech at the 63d session of the UN General Assembly, which
was his first one in this establishment, visited the American Diocese
of the Armenian Church, St. Vardan Church in New York. Together with
the representatives of the American Armenian community Serzh Sargsyan
participated in the dinner organized by the primate of the Eastern
Diocese, Archbishop Khajak Barsamian in the honor of the Armenian
president.

On the second half of the day Serzh Sargsyan visited Armenian
permanent representation in UN, met with the diplomatic staff. The
president also conducted meetings with the representatives of the
Armenian Assembly of America. He highly underscored the role of the
American-Armenian lobbying organizations in the further development
of Armenian-U.S. relations as well as their activity in supporting
Armenia.

During the meeting the president presented Armenia’s approaches towards
Karabakh conflict regulation issue, prospects of Armenian-Turkish
relations, recent developments in the region, Armenia-Diaspora
cooperation.

On September 26 Armenian president will meet with the UN Secretary
General Ban Ki-Moon and President of Cyprus Republic Dmitris
Khristofias.

On the same day the delegation headed by the president will arrive
back to Armenia.
