RA President Serzh Sargsyan had a farewell meeting with the Ambassador
of Belarus to Armenia, Mrs. Marina Dolgopolova on the occasion of
completion of her diplomatic mission.

The President assessed the five years of her tenure in office as
productive from the perspective of development of Armenian-Belarusian
relations, emphasizing the high level of the political dialogue between
the two countries and the positive dynamics of economic collaboration.

Speaking about cooperation in different spheres, Serzh Sargsyan
said when building their relations, Armenia and Belarus take into
consideration the fact that they both are members of the Collective
Security Treaty Organization and are therefore united by security
issues.

According to Marina Dolgopolova, being the first Ambassador of Belarus
to Armenia, she is pleased to have managed to create good bases for
the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support she received during
her tenure in office and noted that she is leaving Armenia with rich
impressions and bright memories. Mrs. Dolgopolova said she will always
remain a friend of Armenia.

President Sargsyan wished success to the diplomat in her future

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
