FOREIGN MINISTRY ENCOURAGES TO AVOID VISITING GEORGIA

The Foreign Ministry of Armenia encourages the citizens of Armenia
to avoid making any trips to Georgia, reported the press and public
relations department of the Government. "The Foreign Ministry of
Armenia is sympathizing with the recent tragic events happened in
Georgia," announced Government press service.

Considering August 9, 17:00 no citizen of Armenia has been damaged
during the clashes in Georgia. On the same day 240 RA citizens have
returned back to Armenia with the initiative of consulate-general of
RA in Batoumi.

45 MICRO-BUSES LEAVE FOR AJARIA

The Embassy of RA in Georgia and the consulate-general of RA in
Batoumi continue taking the initiative to organize the return of
Armenian citizens to Armenia. Two more diplomats have been sent to
Batoumi to organize more operative transforms. Below see the mobile
numbers of the diplomats: + 995.95330454 and +995.99282324.

Information and public relations department of Foreign Ministry (MFA)
reports that on August 10 by 9:00, approximately 3500 Armenians left
Georgia. Moreover, almost 850 foreign citizens have been transferred
to Yerevan support by RA government.

On the eve, 45 micro-busses went to Adjaria in order to continue the
transfer of our citizens to homeland. The frontier services will also
support the organization of the citizen’s transfer.

MFA has hot lines, which can help hundreds of people to learn more
about the transfer of our citizens from Georgia.

DEFENSE MINISTER: "WE PROTECTED OUR HISTORY VIA POWER"

Today 4500 anniversary of pure Armenian chronology has been
celebrated. Official ceremony was held near Hayk Nahapet monument
where Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan was present.

Remind that 4500 years ago Hayk Nahapet has founded Armenian State
shooting an arrow on Bel from Babelon.

"In that very war kindness, and truth struggled against evil, love
towards liberty – violence. Few nations can be proud of a history that
Armenia has," said the Minister. According to him Armenians built
their state to prove the world that they are a complete part of it,
and that they can struggle and develop like others.

"We managed to keep our history via power and now we are following
the direction of civilization and development as it is the demand of
modern world," said S. Ohanyan.

MORE THAN 2000 FOREIGNERS ARE TRANSFERRED TO ARMENIA

Today, by 10:00 in the morning, 7500 citizens of Republic of Armenia
returned from Georgia.

According to the information and press department of MFA, with support
of Government of RA, 2000 foreign citizens-diplomats of Georgian
accreditation, representatives of international organizations, were
also transferred to Armenia with their families.

In fact today, by 11:00, no Armenian citizen has been injured during
the events which took place in Georgia.

Note that, hot lines functioning in MFA, still provide necessary
information about our citizens in Georgia. Meanwhile, corresponding
departments of MFA continue their work concerning the safe return of
our citizens from Georgia.

ANOTHER DEFEAT: CHINA LEADER

Armenian judoist Armen Nazarian (66kg), was defeated by Egyptian
sportsman during the 29-th Olympic games, and left the competition.

Another Armenian sportsman, boxer Eduard Hambardzumian (64kg), has
also lost in 1/32 final to Feliqs Diassin from Dominique republic.

Today is the third day of the competition, but none of Armenian
sportsmen has received any medal. Only boxer Andranik Hakobyan(75kg)
has defeated Ahmed Sarakou from Ghana in 1/32 final and will continue
struggling for medal.

Note that the host of the Games, China is leading by the quantity of
gold medals.

YOUTH TEAM STRUCTURE PUBLISHED

The headqurter of Armenian Youth Team leaded by Varujan Sukiasyan
has published the structure of the team which should compete for
the meeting with Turkish Youth team in the frames of Europe Youth
Tournament in 2009, reported the press service of the Armenian
Football Federation.

Remind that Armenia-Turkey meeting is to take place in "Hrazdan"
sport stadium at 21:00.

PEACEKEEPING MISSION TO BE OVER

Vladimir Putin announced that the peacekeeping mission of Russian
forces in South Ossetia is to be over. Today, opening the Government
session, Mr. Putin has reminded that Russia has warned the colleague
countries that Georgian side was getting prepared to aggression and
has adopted the direction of starting war.

"We’ll be trying to cooperate with everybody, including the Georgian
side. But unfortunately, not every country supports us," said Putin.

PERMISSION TO HUNT WOLVES IS GIVEN

The Ministry of Enviuronmental Protection affirmed the permission to
make hunting on the following types of animals starting from August 16
to November 15: quail (qnt. 30000; no more than 15 in every hunting),
pigeon (qnt. 2000; no more than 5 in every hunting), snipe (qnt. 2000;
no more than 5 in every hunting), ducks (qnt. 10000; no more than 5
in every hunting), heir (qnt. 500; no more than 2 in every hunting),
partridge (qnt. 3000; no more than 5 in every hunting), fox (qnt. 2000;
no more than 10 in every hunting), wolves, dogs, etc.

THE NKR CONFLICT HAS NO MILITARY SETTLEMENT

"The Republic of Nagorno Karabakh is ready to be involved in the
negotiations and assume part of the responsibility for peace and
prosperity of the future generations", Chairman of the NKR National
Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Vahram Atanessian
stated on August 11, at his press-conference devoted to the recent
developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process.

According to him, the NKR has repeatedly stated that it will show
interest in the issue of liquidating the consequences of the military
phase of the Azeri-Karabakhi conflict insofar as Azerbaijan takes an
interest in the recognition of the NKR independence and establishment
of bilateral relations with it.

"Nagorno Karabakh will show readiness in discussing the whole complex
of issues that Azerbaijan is concerned about, if Azerbaijan is ready
to recognize the NKR. This is just the essence of the negotiations",
Vahram Atanessian stated.

According to him, the NKR has been a full-fledged party to the
negotiations since the ceasefire establishment in 1994 and is directly
responsible for the balance of forces in the region.

"The NKR’s first-priority national and state goal is the achievement
of international recognition of its de-facto independence. Other issues
can be discussed only in thi s context", the parliamentarian noted.

Vahram Atanessian underlined that the Azeri-Karabakhi conflict has
no military solution and should be settled exclusively by means
of negotiations.

worker day. This is a good opportunity to speak about your achievements
and problems, as well as to refer to future plans and programs.

I would like to underscore that as one of most dynamically
developing sectors, construction is a core branch of the national
economy. The Government highlights the design and implementation of
urban development programs targeting the sustained development of
populated areas countrywide, with "green engineering" being at the
heart of the home urban development efforts.

Owing to your contribution, new original and durable buildings are
being erected in the capital, while you may realize the importance of
ensuring favorable living and working conditions for our citizens
outside the capital either in terms of addressing the regional
development disproportions and achieving sustainable development for
all settlements throughout the country.

We will have to carry out important programs in the earthquake zone
where we intend to solve the housing problem of homeless families based
on the public-private sector partnership principle. The Government
will keep enhancing the quality of design and construction work in the
disaster zone, the capital city and other settlements of the Republic
