Dear compatriots,

I congratulate you on the occasion of the Labor Day.

May 1 is traditionally celebrated as the day of the working
people. Armenia has always had a special attitude towards work and
working people. This holiday belongs to those who contribute to our
country’s progress by their painstaking work, thus developing the
economy of Armenia.

We realize that the working people of our country currently have
serious expectations in terms of the opening of workplaces, the
improvement of the labor market, the regulation of the employment
relations and the increase of salaries. All these problems are in
the center of our attention, and they are possible to solve.

Congratulating you on the occasion of May 1, I wish you peaceful and
creative work that will serve to the benefit of your families and
the welfare of our country.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
