SOLDIER OF AZERBAIJANI ARMY PURPOSEFULLY CROSSED ARMENIAN-AZERBAIJANI BORDER LINE

ArmInfo. Soldier of Azerbaijani army Yakub Alaverdi-ogli Mukhtarov,
born in 1988, purposefully crossed Armenian-Azerbaijani border line
on 9 March.
As ArmInfo was informed from press-service of Armenian Defence
Ministry, a soldier of the Azerbaijani armed forces crossed the
Armenian-Azerbaijani border line at the sector of Kolakir village
of Tavush region. According to Mukhatorov’s testimony, on 9 March he
applied to the commander of his platoon once again to be directed to
the hospital as he felt sick. But he was refused and tried to apply
to the commander of the brigade but was beaten up severely. Leaving
his gun at the action post Mukhtarov ran away and crossed the
Armenian-Azerbaijani border line. There are numerous traces of beating
at Mukhtarov’s body and old stigmas which, as Mukhtarov said, are
the result of non-statute relations with officers.
