EU WILL CONTINUE EFFORTS FOR CLOSURE OF NUCLEAR PLANT

The EU commissioner of external relations Benita Ferrero Valdner
stated that the EU will continue efforts for the closure of the
nuclear plant. She says it is of great importance to them to have
the Armenian nuclear plant closed because the plant is already old.
According to her, the EU has contributed 30 million euros to
enhancement of safety but it is not enough.
According to the commissioner, the EU has not discussed the issue
of supporting the Armenian-Russian joint program of closure of the
Armenian nuclear plant.
