YEREVAN’S BANANTS HAS A DRAW AND A DEFEAT IN COMMONWEALTH CUP TOURNAMENT

SAINT PETERSBURG, JANUARY 21, NOYAN TAPAN. A regular tournament of
CIS and Baltic Countries’ Football Champions’ Cup started in Saint
Petersburg. In the start of the group tournament Yerevan’s Banants
drew the game with Belarusian VATE with the score of 1 to 1 and in the
second tour was defeated by Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor with the score of
0 to 3. Pakhtakor gained 2 victories in the group and received the
right to take part in the next tour.
The issue of the second team, which will pass to the next tour will
be decided in the next, third tour of the group tournament to be held
on January 22, where Banants will compete with Dinamo. VATE has 2
points and Banants and Dinamo 1 point each.
