ArmInfo. Departure of the highly skilled specialists from Armenia
should be regulated, Doctor of Economic Sciences Tatul Manaseryan
told ArmInfo today.

"The government can make the process of departure of highly skilled
specialists controllable. If departure of the persons with a status of
a temporary unemployed is regulated by intergovernmental agreements,
the indicator of illegal migration from Armenia will reduce, our
compatriots will win in a moral aspect and will be enabled to advance
in skill", Manaseryan explained. He also said that such a step will
contribute to replenishment of the state treasury at the expense of
the migrants’ tax payments and facilitate the state’s social burden. He
emphasized importance of the Diaspora’s assistance in this aspect. "We
should study the professional capabilities of the Diaspora and use them
in state programmes", the economist said. He also emphasized that it
is desirable to use the intellectual potential in Armenia. "Armenia’s
economy should be science-intensive, there is no other way of solution
of the challenges the country faces", T. Manaseryan resumed.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
