Dashnaktsutyun’s Candidate Is Not Playing Government’s Game

DASHNAKTSUTYUN’S CANDIDATE IS NOT PLAYING GOVERNMENT’S GAME

The rumors that the ARF Dashnaktsutyun is playing a put-up game
with the government’s candidate in the presidential election, and
will withdraw at some point to foster the government’s candidate are
not true, stated the deputy speaker of the National Assembly Vahan
Hovanisyan, presidential candidate from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun, on
December 24. He said there is no arrangement, they will go all the way
and are determined to win. "We are determined and we will go all the
way. In addition, we are determined to win. If I uttered these words
only, you would have reason to disbelieve. But I will give a fact,
a justification, which will help you draw conclusions. If the ARF
Dashnaktsutyun had a backstage arrangement with the government or
anyone else to withdraw from the race and give his votes, it would
be more favorable to give the ARF Dashnaktsutyun’s candidate a higher
rating. Because if they are later going to be your votes, it is better
to show them to be more. However, the artificial reduction shows that
these are myths," Vahan Hovanisyan told reporters.

At the same time, however, he repeated the utterance on collaborating
with the Republicans after the presidential election, saying that
the reason is that the Republicans are the parliament majority. But
this collaboration will be after the presidential election, whereas
before the presidential election it is possible for a fair and free
election. The candidate from the ARF Dashnaktsutyun also said if he
becomes president, the issue of cooperation with the Republican Party
will be his decision, if he does not become president, the party will
decide on cooperation with the Republican Party. Vahan Hovanisyan
also said for post-election collaboration and losing the first round
that supporting another candidate will depend on the first stage or
the first and second stages. The ARF Dashnaktsutyun mentioned the
importance of a logical amount of fraud and their quality, saying
that outrageous fraud will rule out any collaboration.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
