CO-CHAIRS MAKE NEW PROPOSALS

Submitted in written form

The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov yesterday
reported that the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group submitted new
proposals to Armenia and Azerbaijan with regard to the settlement of
the Karabakh conflict. The package consists of 10 proposals.
Mr. Mamedyarov announced that this was done `with the purpose of
preventing possible attempts of avoiding responsibility in future.’

the Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers, the American Co-Chair
of the OSCE Minsk Group Matthew Bryza, the Russian Foreign Minister
Sergey Lavorv and the US Assistant Secretary of State on

The proposals were formulated in written form, with the purpose of
ensuring the on-going nature of the talks in future, i.e. after

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
