The new building of Synopsis opened in ViaShpere Technopark

"Today Armenia is one of the rapidly developing countries in the
world. Our country is the best in the sense of the amendments’
quality. We must develop the sphere of informational technologies in
order that it can have a relevant role in our economy. The investment
of the idea of informational society is of a great importance.

Lack of the specialists is a bigger issue, as the preparation of
those specialists is a definite inertial process, and I am sure
that implementing this kind of programs is the basis of further
development", announced RA President Robert Kocharian at the opening
ceremony of the re-constructed building of Synopsis Armenia in
ViaShpere Technopark on September 25.

The Armenian President attached importance to the presence of other
companies in the sphere of informational technologies.

"Today Synopsis entered Armenia fundamentally and it should be a good
example for other companies", mentioned Mr. Kocharian.

Chairman and General Operation Director of Synopsys Chi Fun Chan
presented the activities of the company and, as a proof of serious
approach and investments, the former Soviet semi-conductors workshop’s
reconstructed building anticipated for 500 workers and 120 students.

General Executive Director of Synopsis Rich Goldman called other
international companies to follow Synopsis Armenia’s example.

At the end of the ceremony several young people and teenagers of IT
sphere on behalf of the President of Armenia received educational
awards.
