Higher oil prices will affect the cost of petroleum in Armenia,
Mushegh Elchyan, deputy director of a fuel import company "Flash",
told Panorama.am.

The expert forecast 3-4 percent higher petroleum prices in Armenia,
or 10-12 drams more per liter, in case the high price sustains in
the world. "The price of petroleum will not go up for the coming week
in the republic since a new dispatch has not been imported," Elchyan
said. In his words, 1 liter of petroleum has gone up by 30-40 drams
per 1 liter since the start of the year.

Note: A new oil price record was registered in New York today with
1 barrel of oil/$81. The rise in prices is explained with greater
demand for oil in fall and winter season.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
