/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "A year ago there was a pause in the talks around
the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Then I began to work as OSCE Minsk Group
Co-Chair. Then we said in the Minsk Group that we shall restore works
when presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan themselves decide what steps
they’d like to make. They did it in autumn last year," OSCE Minsk Group
American Co-Chair, US Deputy Assistant Secretary Matthew Bryza stated.

He said Russia, USA and France are successfully cooperating in the
framework of the OSCE MG, and there is a chance to resolve the problem
till the end of this year. "I was in Yerevan, Baku and we shall still
witness a spirit of constructive cooperation, although I will not
predict that the resolution will be reached this year. Maybe there
will be a pause because of elections in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia
next year, but we do not give up," Bryza underlined.

He also added that he had not had the honor to meet the newly elected
President of Nagorno Karabakh. "But we think that there must be no
influence from him on the process of talks," the American diplomat
underscored, "Vremya Novostei" reports.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
